Jocastro News...

Jocastro's new Transformer winding machine set to revolutionise the transformer industry.
Jocastro has the most advanced transformer foil and wire winding machine in South Africa, incorporating computerized technology with modern mechanics to manufacture the best quality transformers on the market.
By fusing these two critical components Jocastro has removed human error from the manufacturing process.
The Broomfield 600 is fully automated with sensors to guide the foil and wire accurately as well as computerized cold weld process (up to 7 pins), shearing, brushing, traverses and Mandrills.
This machine is capable of winding from 10KVA to 3500KVA with both speed and accuracy to improve productivity and overall quality.
Features...
Expandable Mandrel,
Grooved edge collapsible tooling for higher quality precision layering and increased production of magnet wire coils.
Air brush assembly,
Air brush assembly ensures a good clean contact area for the bus bar to foil weld.
Cold weld process,
The cold weld press is one of the best ways to ensure a proper contact between the copper bus bar of the transformer and the foil.
Edge treatment,
The edge treatment is a crucial part of the manufacturing process it removes all burs from the edges of the foil to ensure that the insulation is not compromised.
Vacuum cleaners,
Vacuum cleaners are installed to ensure that no grim comes in contact with the coils in the manufacturing process.
Computerised wire tension and traverse,
The DT Series Wire Dereeling and Tensioning Stands offer precise variable air actuated tension and they eliminate spool over spin when winding stops. Tension force can be regulated from the operator control station.
24" (610mm) maximum diameter, 8" (203mm) -12" (305mm) width, 450 lbs (205kg) weight.
The traverse can accommodate both round and flat copper wire.
felt wipes,
The felt wipers are controlled pneumatically and play a crucial role in maintain a level of cleanliness in the manufacturing process.
edge guide,
The edge guide controls the rear foil de-railer by moving it inwards and backwards with relation to the edge of the foil
